Porcelain fungus

Porcelain fungus, also known as Oudemansiella mucida, is a type of fungus that belongs to the Physalacriaceae family and is found in Europe.

This white, slimy wood-rot fungus is commonly found in clusters on rotting beech trees. While some sources say that it is mildly toxic, others consider it edible after washing to remove the mucus.

There are even some who describe porcelain fungus as a good culinary mushroom and offer specific recipes for cooking it. Overall, it is generally not considered to be toxic.
