Offering of Greetings
"On my walking path, I often see elderly grandmothers and grandfathers walking alone.
Whenever I greet them, they respond with
bright, cheerful smiles.
There’s not a single exception.
Their smiles make me smile in turn.
Even on days when there’s nothing else to smile about,
the simple exchange of greetings lets us share a smile —
and for that, I am truly grateful."
