When we disconnect and disassociate, we lose meaning, and we lose our ability to sense and belong to anything. One can walk through the most glorious parts of nature and not feel anything when one is in a place of disconnection. That's why we need to invite the senses to take part in our reconnecting. The smells, the touch, the sounds and the taste of things in a slow and mindful way. When we immerse ourselves in senses that are naturally pleasurable our memory can nudge us into reconnecting once again.
