Ecological consciousness requires a deep respect for the natural world and all things within it. It's generally understood to be a term which reflects the psyche of an individual in relationship to and with Nature.
"Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world."
"The structure of the world itself, it functions on natural law, and the natural law is a powerful regenerative process. Its a process of regeneration that continues and grows and is endless. Its absolutely endless if everyone agrees to the law and follows the law. But if you challenge the law, and you think you are going to change the law, then you are bound to failure…"

"The fundamental illusion that modern humans need to wake up from now is the idea that we are somehow separate from Nature. We are not separate, we are Nature herself, in human form. We are a part of a greater Earth community, children of this living planet. Once this understanding becomes "common sense" for high technology cultures and civilizations, humanity will be able to solve the problems we've created, by believing we were somehow superior to other species and separate from our Mother, the Earth."

“We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

"When we speak of Nature it is wrong to forget that we are ourselves a part of Nature. We ought to view ourselves with the same curiosity and openness with which we study a tree, the sky or a thought, because we too are linked to the entire Universe."

"We are life. We are nature. We are Universe. Self-reflexive consciousness allows us different perspectives on this ever-transforming and evolving whole we participate in — this all that we are reflections of. We bring forth a world together, as embodied manifestations of the universe co-creating the world through how we participate and what we pay attention to and care about."

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.”

"Look deep into Nature and you will understand everything better."

"Allow Nature's peace to flow into you, as sunshine flows into trees."

"Be still, and the earth will speak to you."

"Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world."

"People talk about creation as a remote fact of history, as if it were something that was attended to a long time ago, and finished at the time. But creation was not an act; it is a process; and it is going on today as much as it ever was. And Nature is not in a hurry..."

"You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you. Mother Earth is not just your environment... So breathe in and be aware of your body. Look deeply into it and realise you are the Earth and your consciousness is also the consciousness of the earth." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Undeniable
From the network in our brains
And veins in our eyes
Bronchi in our lungs
And veins on every leaf
The trees are like us
Physical mirrors
Breathing in what we exhale
They're our very breath
Their roots remind us
That we are of the Earth
Our trees of family
Just like the seasons
And generations of leaves
We come and we go

"All the tragedy in the world, in the individual and in the multitude, comes from lack of harmony. And harmony is the best given by producing harmony in one's own life.”

"How does my spiritual practice and daily life serve the earth?
How does my spiritual practice and daily life affect the poorest third of humanity?
How will my spiritual practice and daily life affect the generations to come in the future?"

“Every thought and action sends shivers of energy into the world around us, which affects all creation. Perceiving the world as a web of connectedness helps us to overcome the feelings of separation that hold us back and cloud our vision. This connection with all life increases our sense of responsibility for every move, every attitude, allowing us to see clearly that each soul does indeed make a difference to the whole.” ~ Emma Restall Orr
Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”
